What it is
A first-person low-poly world with a day and night, a lake, trees, rocks, bushes and crates you can push
around. Punch things and they shake, then burst into pieces and drop items for your hotbar. Everything you see
and hear is generated by code. There is one world, hosted at lr.rfelabs.com: whoever starts the
game and types a name lands in it with everyone else online, and the server remembers what each name carries.
Getting in
- Windows: unzip the download anywhere and run
LowpolyRealms\LowpolyRealms.exe. Windows may
show a SmartScreen warning the first time because the game is not code-signed: choose More info, then
Run anyway.
- Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint):
sudo apt install ./LowpolyRealms-0.4.0-linux-amd64.deb, then open Lowpoly Realms from
your apps menu. Other distributions: LowpolyRealms-0.4.0-linux-x64.tar.gz, unpack it and run
LowpolyRealms/bin/LowpolyRealms.
- Choose PLAY, type a name, press Enter. You are in.
Java is bundled in every download; nothing else needs installing.
